Citadel, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, and Others Launch Crypto Exchange:

Citadel, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Sequoia Capital, Virtu Financial, and Paradigm have jointly launched a new crypto exchange called EDX Markets.
The platform, which began operations a few weeks ago, follows a non-custodial model where customer assets aren't directly managed by the exchange. Instead, EDX operates as an intermediary, setting trade prices and facilitating transactions between parties.
The platform aims to provide benefits such as enhanced liquidity, competitive quotes, and address conflicts of interest. Initially, the exchange will allow trading in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. A new service, EDX Clearing, is also expected to launch later this year to allow traders to settle trades matched on EDC Markets.

Pentagon Accounting Error:

The Pentagon recently revealed a miscalculation that led to an additional $6.2 billion in military aid being sent to Ukraine. The mistake stemmed from the U.S. Defense Department incorrectly valuing the weapons dispatched to Ukraine, basing it on replacement costs rather than their recorded book value.
This led to a doubled valuation compared to the actual worth. The excess funding will be rolled back into the Pentagon's budget for prospective inventory reductions. To expedite the aid to Ukraine, the Pentagon/White House leveraged its "presidential drawdown authority."

Hunter Biden:

Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden's son, has agreed to plead guilty to a pair of federal charges for deliberately not paying his federal income taxes, according to a court document disclosed on Tuesday.
Furthermore, the court filing at the U.S. District Court in Delaware indicated that Hunter Biden has also agreed to partake in a pretrial diversion program related to an accusation of illegally possessing a firearm as a person who uses or is addicted to illicit drugs.
Under the typical conditions of such programs, the relevant criminal charge may be dismissed if the defendant adheres to the agreement's terms for a specified duration.
Based on information from two sources knowledgeable about Hunter's plea agreement, NBC News reported that David Weiss, the U.S. Attorney for Delaware, will recommend probation as the sentence for the tax crimes to the presiding judge.

YouTube Censors RFK:

YouTube recently removed an interview featuring Robert F. Kennedy (RFK), a Democrat preparing to challenge President Biden in the 2024 elections, from the Jordan Peterson Podcast.
RFK, who is an esteemed environmental lawyer and the nephew of JFK, has been vocally skeptical about vaccines. In recent podcast interviews with both Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan, RFK elaborated on his views on vaccines.
However, on Monday, YouTube decided to remove the Peterson interview, alleging it propagated misinformation. Now, Spotify is under pressure to remove the Rogan episode. Rogan has proposed a debate between RFK and a prominent vaccine researcher, but the researcher has declined the offer.
