IMF Global CBDC Platform:

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is currently developing a platform for Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) in order to facilitate easier transactions between countries.
The organization's Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva, has emphasized the need for a global, unfragmented approach to CBDCs to ensure efficient and fair transactions.
Furthermore, the IMF wants central banks to agree on a unified regulatory framework for digital currencies to promote global interoperability.
Georgieva has noted that 114 central banks worldwide are exploring CBDCs, with 10 nearing completion, and she stressed the importance of these digital currencies being asset-backed.
