  • Johnson & Johnson announced that it has agreed to pay $8.9 billion over the next 25 years to settle allegations that its baby powder and other talc-based products caused cancer.
  • The company had faced numerous lawsuits from customers who claimed that their talc products, allegedly contaminated with the carcinogenic substance asbestos, caused cancer.
