Death of Iranian President:

Yesterday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister died in a helicopter crash in the mountainous, icy terrain of East Azerbaijan province, as confirmed by an Iranian official on Monday. The crash occurred on Sunday and involved a U.S.-made Bell 212 helicopter. Following the incident, the wreckage was located, and all passengers, including Raisi and the foreign minister, were found deceased.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, although it is known the helicopter was completely destroyed upon impact with a mountain peak. President Raisi, who took office in 2021, was known for his strict enforcement of morality laws and his firm stance in nuclear negotiations with world powers.
