California's College Athletes Revenue Share:

The California State Assembly has recently approved a bill aiming to mandate colleges to distribute a portion of their sports-related revenues to athletes. Under the proposed legislation, any revenue exceeding the figures from the 2021/2022 academic year would be directed towards the athletes.
This income would be allocated evenly between male and female athletes, and subsequently divided among various teams in proportion to their respective revenue contributions.
This framework ensures that all team members, irrespective of their position or skill level, receive an equal share. The potential annual earnings for players could reach up to $25,000, with additional financial benefits upon graduation.
