TikTok Ban:

The US government may ban TikTok due to Chinese data privacy concerns. The CCP has a 1% stake and special rights in ByteDance which grants board influence.
TikTok created Project Texas, where an independent board oversees national security-related content, approved by CFIUS, to address US concerns.

If passed, the Act allows enforcement of mitigation measures for any transactions or property in the US.
It covers ICT operation and maintenance and permits surveillance and censorship based on election interference claims.
Companies or assets can be forced to sell on presidential decree if deemed a national security threat, granting extensive access.
They can access your wifi, home computers and even your mobile devices.
A 'criminal' breach under the Act, such as using TikTok through a VPN, could levy a fine of $1 million, imprisonment for 20 years and your property seized.
