Amazon:

  • Bedrock is a new service by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that allows users to build generative AI-powered apps using pretrained models from various providers, including startups like AI21 Labs, Anthropic, and Stability AI. AWS also offers access to its in-house trained Titan Foundation Models.
  • AWS, Amazon's cloud computing platform, provides a range of services and tools for businesses to develop, deploy, and manage their applications. Bedrock allows AWS customers to access AI models from different providers through an API.
  • Although pricing details haven't been announced yet, Bedrock is aimed at large customers who want to build enterprise-scale AI apps.

Texas Cows:

  • An explosion at a Texas dairy farm led to the deaths of over 18 thousand cows. In Dimmitt, Texas, fire crews tackled fire and explosions at South Fork Dairy on Monday evening, which affected multiple buildings.
  • Sheriff Salvador Rivera of Castro County stated that the fire and explosion at Southfork Dairy Farm near on Monday were likely due to overheated equipment. State fire marshals will be conducting an investigation into the incident.

Classified Documents:

  • 21-year-old National Guardsman Jack Teixeira has been taken into custody for allegedly leaking hundreds of classified documents.
  • These files first appeared on a Minecraft Discord server in March and gained attention when shared on other social networks last week. The documents include information on Ukrainian military details, global internal politics, military intelligence, and confidential aid data for Ukraine.
